Wellhouse Road

Taking inspiration from places like the Middleton Railway and Derwent Valley Light Railway at Murton Park, Wellhouse Road is a fictitious small heritage railway and industrial museum. Trains depart at regular intervals from Wellhouse Road station towards Bancroft or Cloisterdale, the line diverging at Wellhouse Road junction (off scene). A shunting demonstration is carried out regularly throughout the day inbetween passenger trains.

There are no run round facilities at Wellhouse Road, so locomotives alternate on passenger services, meaning a minimum of 2 locos are required to be in operation.

Locos are mainly smaller types, usually no larger than an Austerity Saddle tank, and are of mainly industrial pedigree.

The layout is able to run with either DC or DCC control.

The layout is still a work in progress, but is potentially available for exhibition.
